Creating Predefined Users for Logging In to the Datasource Containing the Input Set
When creating a job definition, the first thing you do is select and log in to the datasource containing the documents you want to process (the input set).
In Orchestration Framework Administrator (Orchestration Framework Browser > Configuration > Predefined ProjectWise Users), you can create one or more predefined users, so that when creating job definitions, you can just select the user you want to log in with from a list of predefined users.
Make sure that the predefined user has the following settings in ProjectWise Administrator:
- (Required) Make sure the
predefined user has their
ProjectWise user setting
Credential
expiration policy
set to
No
expiration.
This will ensure that if a job is running with that user's credentials, the job
will be able to run through without being interrupted because of a timed out
password. If this user setting is set to one of the other options (Server
default or Custom value), you will not be able to create a job definition with
this predefined user because you will be prevented from logging in with that
user.
(See: Setting Up Non-Expiring Users (ProjectWise Administrator help))
- (Recommended) Make sure the predefined user has their ProjectWise user setting Use access control turned OFF. This will ensure that the user account under which the job runs always has access to all of the source documents in the input set.
